Pirates never shout "let's just sail somewhere!" They have a map. They know the island, the X, and how many days of sailing it will take.
Your wishes deserve the same respect. A wish without a plan stays a wish forever. A wish with a plan becomes a date on the calendar. Here is how to draw your own treasure map.
Step 1: Pick ONE big wish
Not five. One. The one that makes your eyes go wide. A cricket bat? A keyboard? A trip somewhere? Write it at the top of a page in big letters.
Why only one? Because your coins are like a small army. Send them in five directions and every battle is weak. Send them all one way and they win.
Step 2: Find the number
Ask a grown-up or look it up together: how much does the wish actually cost? Write the number next to the wish. This number is not scary — it is just the distance on your map.
A wish with a number is a goal. A goal is just a wish that grew a spine.
Step 3: Do the tiny-step maths
Now the fun part. If the wish costs 200 and you can save 10 a week, that is 20 weeks. Twenty weeks sounds long — until you realise that doing nothing also takes twenty weeks, except at the end you have nothing.
Small steps every week beat big plans that never start. Every. Single. Time.
Step 4: Make it visible
Draw a thermometer, a ladder, or a row of twenty boxes on paper. Colour one box every time you save. Stick it somewhere you see daily.
This is not childish — it is how humans work. What you can see growing, you keep feeding. (In your Hisaab kids zone, the wish bar does this automatically — but paper works too!)
Step 5: Expect the wobble
Somewhere around the middle you will want to quit and spend it all on something small. Everyone feels this — pirates, athletes, your parents. It does not mean your plan failed. It means you are exactly halfway.
On wobble days, do not decide anything. Just look at your coloured boxes and wait one day. The wish usually comes back.
The day it happens
One day you will colour the last box and buy the thing with money you gathered yourself. Notice the feeling. It is completely different from being given the thing. That feeling has a name: pride. You cannot buy pride. You can only earn it.
And here is the secret: once you have done it once, you can do it with anything — money, homework, sports, friendships. The map is the same. That is why this little trick is about way more than money.
