Your money records, handled the way you'd want your own handled
Hisaab holds some of the most personal information you own. Here is exactly how it is kept, who can reach it, what the AI sees, and how to take it all back.
Only you can open your books
Every record is tied to your account and protected by database-level rules, so one person's data can never be read by another — even by mistake.
Encrypted coming and going
Everything travels over HTTPS and is stored encrypted at rest on managed cloud infrastructure with automatic backups.
No bank logins, ever
Hisaab never asks for your net-banking password and never connects to your bank. You decide what to upload or type in.
AI sees only what a task needs
When you use chat, voice, invoice reading or statement import, just the text or image for that task is sent to the AI provider. Nothing is used to train public models.
Sharing is deliberate
Household members see only what you invite them to. Accountant and share links are PIN-protected, limited to one book, and can be switched off any time.
Leaving is easy
Delete any entry instantly, or request full account deletion from Settings. We hold it 30 days in case you change your mind, then erase it for good.
The detail, in plain words
Where your data lives
Records sit in a managed, access-controlled cloud database with encryption at rest and daily backups. Providers and their subprocessors may store or process data in the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Arab Emirates or other countries.
What the AI is given
Chat questions, spoken entries, invoice images and statement text are sent to the AI provider only for that request. Results come back to you and are saved only if you save them. Please don't upload passwords, full card numbers, or documents you aren't allowed to process — and always check what the AI read before you file it.
Who inside Hisaab can see anything
Administrative access is limited to named roles and used only for support, billing and abuse investigation. There is no browsing of customer books for any other reason.
Payments
Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure page and never touch Hisaab's servers. We only see the outcome of a payment and your plan status.
Keeping your own side safe
Use a unique password, turn on the in-app lock on shared phones, and only send accountant or share links to people you trust — anyone with the link and PIN can view what you shared.
